The role: IT Field Technician
As an IT Field Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the needs of Google's Munich office and coordinating technical resources at various regional locations. You are a highly technical individual who will directly support the IT needs of a remote office. IT Field Technicians provide direct support for Linux, Mac, and Windows operating systems and applications connected to Google’s corporate network. In addition, you will be responsible for mentoring future IT employees.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct support for Linux, Mac and Windows desktops/laptops and user access to corporate network and applications both on the network as well as through remote VPN access.
  • Coordinate and troubleshoot corporate services such as telephony, video conferencing, remote access and mobile.
  • Provide direct support for Google’s internal resources and applications
  • Contribute to Google office relocations and expansions.
  • Requirements:
  • BS degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting issues for Linux, Mac and Windows desktop environments.
  • Expertise supporting desktops/laptops, phones, video conferencing and wireless devices.
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN and mobile computing environments.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and make quick decisions with limited information.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and customer service skills required.
  • Valid EU work authorisation
