Graduate Software Engineer (Full-time) - based in Dublin

The successful candidate will join the Patch System Test (PST) team in Dublin.
In this role, they will have the opportunity to learn more about:
- Oracle Solaris System Administration on a wide range of SPARC and x86 hardware, including high-end systems, with in-depth, hands-on experience with the Solaris Operating System and exposure to Solaris' latest and greatest features such as IPS, AutoInstaller, Zones & ZFS.
- Structured problem analysis methodologies.
- Scripting languages like ksh, bash, Perl.
- Process Design and Test & Release Engineering Best Practice.
- Managing our weekly test cycle, which will include machine setup (i.e. installation), test execution, failure analysis and report generation.
- System Administration and maintenance of our large lab (~300 servers).
- Analysing potential patch/package issues and communicating with patch/package creators to ensure correct and speedy resolution.
- Design and implementation of further improvements to our automated tools, test suites, and processes, to help continuously improve our effectiveness and efficiency at catching patch/package issues quickly and effectively prior to their release.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should have a primary degree in Computing or a related discipline.

- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent initiative/self-starter.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- UNIX/LINUX System Administration experience
- Experience in a scripting language, preferably shell programming, PHP, or Perl
- Experience of the Oracle DB an advantage
